THE MAUD SAGA: WHEN FICTION TURNED INTO REAL IMPACT
What began as a fantasy saga written quietly over two decades has become something larger: a bridge connecting readers, companies, events, and a hospital that changes children’s lives every day.
At@comicconlpool, thanks to@monopolyeventsand the incredible support of their directors — and a special thank you to@clarke_ar, whose kindness and help made all of this possible — we were able to launch MAUD in a way I could never have imagined.
The event gave MAUD visibility, connection, and a home.
Thanks to our Sponsors —@fragas_construction and @bem_brasil_liverpool for choosing to support this project not just as a book, but as an act of generosity.
Together, they funded hundreds of pre-paid eBooks so that Comic Con attendees and many others could claim their copy for free.
Because of that support, MAUD reached something historic:
the first 1,000 eBooks donated to@alderhey_inspired— every penny of it delivered, exactly as promised.
The images above show it clearly: the stalls, the signs, the supporters and finally the donation itself — £5,990 placed directly into Alder Hey’s hands.
None of this was planned in the beginning.
None of it was guaranteed.
It happened because people believed.
Because sponsors cared.
Because the team at Comic Con Liverpool opened their doors to a newcomer and treated this project like it mattered.
The journey doesn’t end here.
There are still pre-paid eBooks available — bought by sponsors so that new readers can join the world of MAUD at no cost.
If you haven’t claimed yours yet, now is the time.
This is the power of stories.
This is the power of community.
This is the start of the next cycle.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
To the next chapter.
To the next act of kindness.
To the world we can build together.
